Editorial Policy

The Expedition Review is an independent editorial publication. The following standards govern how we research, score, and publish operator reviews.

Independence & Commercial Relationships

We have no affiliate links, no paid placements, and no commercial relationships with any expedition cruise operator listed on this site. We earn no commissions or referral fees of any kind. Operators cannot pay to appear in our ranking or to improve their score.

Operator Notification

We notify operators of their scores and review content before publication. Operators are given 14 days to submit factual corrections (e.g., updated fleet data, corrected guest ratios). We do not grant editorial revision rights — operators may correct facts, not change our assessment.

Sources & Data Versioning

All data is cited by source and date. Guest scores are collected from Trustpilot, TripAdvisor, and TravelStride at the time of each semi-annual update. Fleet data is sourced from public vessel registries and Lloyd’s of London records. IAATO membership data is drawn from the public IAATO member registry.

Corrections Policy

We correct factual errors promptly when reported. If you believe we have published incorrect information about an operator, contact us at editorial@oceanwide-expeditions-reviews.com with supporting evidence. Corrections are published with a dated note indicating what was changed and why.
